New Whittington Health charity crossword book

Local resident Ellen Beckett has compiled a new book of crosswords, which is on sale now in aid of The Whittington Hospital’s Care of Older People appeal.

Ellen has been compiling crosswords regularly for the Whittington Hospital’s Link newsletter since 2002, and is still contributing since it has changed its name to Whittington Express.

Ellen says of the book: “Although I thoroughly enjoy doing crosswords, I didn’t realise the enormity of compiling them. I think I finally managed to get it right! Happy solving!”

The book, which features 50 fiendish puzzles, is now available to buy from www.whittington.nhs.uk/merchandise for £4.99.
