Arsenal stars visit the Whittington Hospital
The stars of Arsenal Football Club swapped footballs for Christmas presents on Friday as Captain Robin van Persie and three teammates celebrated Christmas with children at The Whittington Hospital.
Van Persie, along with Theo Walcott, Tomas Vermaelen and Per Mertesacker took on the role of Father Christmas as they distributed sacks of presents, as well as posing for photographs and signing autographs for the children and their families.
It was clear from all the smiling faces that the surprise visit was a success among the children, with plenty of new toys to play with and the chance for many to meet their heroes.
Whittington Health would like to thank Arsenal Football Club for giving this opportunity to the children of Ifor Ward, and for the generous gifts they provided
