Description

The department of ophthalmology sees approximately 6,500 outpatients a year and works in conjunction with the Royal Free Hospital to provide an effective and efficient service.

Daycase surgery is carried out on the Whittington Hospital site. The surgery service is run by the Royal Free Hospital.

Emergencies are seen during clinic times otherwise emergency care is available through the Royal Free hospital.

Referral

Internal referrals for the department should only be made if patients require an appointment within two weeks, all other referrals must be sought from the GP’S.

Our outpatient clinics run between 9.00–17.00, Monday - Thursday.
