Health minister and 'children's czar' visit the Whittington
On Monday 5 February health minister Ivan Lewis MP and Dr Sheila Shribman, the department of health’s national clinical director for children, young people and maternity services visited the Whittington’s women’s and children’s health departments to see examples of good practice ahead of the release of Dr Shribman’s report about national changes to the provision of healthcare for women and children.more
Whittington achievement awards
The fifth annual Whittington Achievement Awards were held on Monday 5 February to acknowledge and reward staff who have made an exceptional contribution to the running of the hospital. The awards were again presented to staff by local MP Jeremy Corbyn.more
Whittington midwifery partnership recognised by the Department of Health
The Whittington Hospital’s maternity department, working with Sure Start Holloway, has been recognised as an example of good practice by the Department of Health in its report on reducing infant mortality published on 7 February 2007.
