Transfusion Awareness Week: 23 - 27 April 2007
Monday 23 April is the start of National Transfusion Awareness Week. The campaign has been organised by the Chief Medical Officer's National Transfusion Committee and aims to familiarise the public with the details and importance of blood transfusions.more

The Annual Health Check is a system of assessment for all NHS Trusts. The review is undertaken by the Healthcare Commission, which is responsible for carrying out independent assessments of the performance of every local NHS organisation.more

Whittington’s new building addresses the issue of mixed-sex wards
A recent report by the Chief Nursing Officer cited the Whittington as not compliant with the Government’s target to eliminate mixed-sex wards. However, the report was based on an audit carried out last autumn and since then we have moved into our new building which has enabled us to address the issue.more
