New Director of Research and Development at Whittington
Professor Monty Mythen joined the Whittington on 23 July 2007 as Director of Research and Development, this appointment is a six-month secondment from the UCL, Institute of Child Health.As the Whittington's Director of Research and Development Professor Mythen's key objective will be to oversee the implementation of the review of the Whittington's research function that was approved at the February meeting of the Trust Board. At the end of his six month secondment, he will also make recommendations for the on going leadership arrangements for research and development at the combined Whittington and UCL Archway Campus.
Monty Mythen brings a wealth of experience to the role, having made a major contribution to the development of the successful bids to establish UCLH as a Comprehensive Biomedicine Centre and Great Ormond Street Hospital as Specialist Biomedicine Centre.
