Farewell Ed

Dr Broadhurst cuts the cakeOn Thursday 20 January a retirement party was held for paediatrician Ed Broadhurst who joined The Whittington in 1991. A large number of colleagues gathered to wish him a fond farewell. Colleague Dr Heather MacKinnon gave Ed a desert island disc send off, playing some of his favourite (and not so favourite music) whilst taking us through some of the Dr Broadhurst's many achievements, including an hilarious anecdote where Dr Broadhurst agreed to work on call on the millenium eve, through fear of the millenium bug destroying the hospital's computer systems.

Dr Broadhust gave a brief note of thanks to his colleagues and wished the hospital a long and prosperous future. Jasmin Archibald then presented a series of gifts and a wide variety of homemade cakes had been brought in, which were enjoyed by all.

Everyone here at The Whittington would like to thank Dr Broadhurst for his significant contribution to the hospital and wish him a long and happy retirement.
