Bereavement
We know that losing a baby can be the hardest thing a woman and her family can go through. As part of our maternity care, we offer a comprehensive and tailored service to support women and their families who suffer the loss of a baby during pregnancy or shortly after birth.
Our specialist midwife can offer practical and emotional support to bereaved women and their families. We can visit women and their families at home and continue to keep in contact with them until after their follow-up appointments with their consultant.

We support families to organise funerals and offer an ongoing counselling service.
We can also support women who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness and who may choose to continue with the pregnancy or have a termination.
