Betty Mansell ward opening

Betty Mansell ward opening
The Betty Mansell ward was opened on Tuesday 25 October by her husband Professor Murray Last (pictured left).

The newly decorated and upgraded women's health ward was named after Betty Mansell who died last year and  was a much admired and loved gynaecologist at the Whittington from 1975 to 2003.  Miss Teresa Freeman-Wang paid tribute to Betty's amazing work and contribution to the Whittington over the years and Mr Michael Pugh retired gynaecologist told the gathering what a wonderful doctor as well as specialist Betty was.   Professor Last thanked everyone present for their contribution and for working with and helping Betty over the years.
