Band 2-7 BME Career Development Programme

BME Programme with a picture of London
The Band 2-7 BME Career Development Programme is back, and open to all BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) NHS colleagues in Bands 2- 7 roles across London NHS organisations.

This learning opportunity has been designed to provide BME colleagues with the skills and knowledge essential for career development, and essential to build a greater understanding of the wider NHS.

At our organisation, we have successfully run four cohorts of the Band 2-7 BME Career Development Programme and there has been a noticeable increase in confidence for participants on this programme when applying for new roles and undertaking further professional development.

In fact, promotion rates among all cohorts who take part in the programme in Whittington Health has ranged between 20-50%!

As places are very limited, (50 places – 25 in each cohort) a special panel will shortlist all applications, so do make sure your entry is compelling. We are aiming to have representations for all NHS organisations in London; however, this may not always be possible depending on the spread of applications.

You can submit your application on MS Forms, before the deadline of Thursday 24 July.

Successful candidates will be notified about their place between Monday 11 August and Friday 15 August.
