Diabetes day 2007

Over 70 people from a range of disciplines in Primary Care attended. Some key topics in diabetes care were discussed, including updates on diabetes therapy and recent reports on the major consequences to the unborn child of poor diabetes control prior to conception.

Some of the innovative work being done at the Whittington was highlighted, including the new retinal screening programme and self-management courses for patients coping with the demands of living with type 1 diabetes.
