Celebration as stairs open
Chief executive David Sloman is pictured with Wendy King and Sheila Docherty from paediatrics, on the new stairs in the Whittington's outpatient block which opened on Monday 16 April. The means that patients and staff can now access all levels of the new building by stairs.This coincided with the opening of the new staff entrance/night exit and transport lounge which is next to the emergency department entrance. This entrance will be access controlled for all staff 24 hours a day. The night exit will come into action every day when the Main Entrance on Magdala Avenue closes and along with the Jenner Exit will be the only way out for staff, patients and visitors between 2100 - 0715.
