New Pathology system goes live

Pathology project teamAt 9.00 am and on schedule on 23 April, 2007 the Whittington went live with a new Pathology system for biochemistry and haematology.

The new system is Winpath , supplied by CliniSys and was purchased via the London Connecting for Health (CfH) contract with British Telecom, ensuring it is CfH compliant for the future.

The Winpath system is installed in 40 per cent of London acute trusts, including the Royal Free who we are collaborating with on Pathology modernisation, and 33 per cent of Trusts NHS wide, so CliniSys are a well established, reputable supplier with a long history in the NHS.
