DIY screening kits for bowel cancer
On Wednesday 23 January an NHS Bowel Cancer Screening event came to Whittington's Level 1 atrium. The initiative went live in 2007 in Haringey, Islington, Enfield and Barnet and is the first cancer home screening programme for men. more
Presentation from the Rotary Club of Islington, Highgate and Muswell Hill
Dr Caroline Deys, President Rotary Club of Islington, Highgate and Muswell Hill presented a cheque for £1,475 to Diabetes Specialist Nurse Cathy Jenkins and Diabetes Dietitian Janice Mavroskoufis at the Whittington Hospital on Monday 18 February.more

Cat Amongst the Pigeons
A new mural has been added to the Whittington’s artwork. The large and colourful Cat Amongst the Pigeons on the Level 1 atrium shows the illusion of a curious cat, called Whitty, constructed from a flock of birds.more
Whittington scores highest level in maternity services
Inspectors have given the Whittington’s maternity services top marks after a two-day visit to the department. The Clinical Negligence Scheme for Trusts, or CNST, assessed the services according to eight national risk management standards.more
