Whittington FC beat Arsenal celebrities!

Whittington FC beat Arsenal celebrities! The Whittington Hospital football team played a brilliant game against the Arsenal stars including Tony Hadley, Tommy Walsh and Ralf Little (pictured with Chief Executive David Sloman, far left, and Chair Joe Liddane, far right) winning 2-1.

This was just part of a great day to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the NHS and to raise money for the Whittington's Building for Babies appeal.

Over 800 people attended and enjoyed delicious food and drink from Aanya Restaurant in Crouch End and the Whittington barbecue stall. Over £3,000 was raised on the day and hope that the funday once again becomes a regular feature in the Highgate events calendar.

Thanks go to Budgens in Crouch End, Barclays Bank, the local police and fire brigade and all the people who volunteered to make the occasion such a success.

The day was opened by chair of the appeal Barbara Roche and Islington MP Jeremy Corbyn presented the players with their certificates after the game.
