NHS a model for healthcare around the world
UNISON has teamed up with Oxfam and joined Dorothy Ngoma, Executive Director of the National Organisation of Nurses and Midwives in Malawi, for a visit to the Whittington Hospital. The group toured our new Midwifery and Birthing unit on Monday 23 February, to meet staff and look at the latest technology used to care for premature babies. more

Go London and Think Feet First launched
As you may have seen the NHS London has recently launched Go London and the accompanying Think Feet First walking campaign which the Whittington Hospital is proud to be supporting.more
World TB Day 2009
Tuesday 24 March was World Tuberculosis Day. TB is an airborne disease that can affect anyone but is more likely to affect people whose immunity is already low. Almost every case of TB can be cured but it is still one of the top three killer diseases worldwide.more
Colorectal Cancer Screening Awareness
Throughout April Islington PCT is running a colorectal screening awareness campaign through Islington pharmacies. To support this the Whittington out-patient pharmacy at the Whittington will be involved in this campaign too.more
Hospital Broadcast Award for Eddie
Whittington Radio attended the annual Hospital Broadcasting Awards in Blackpool on Saturday 28 March. The awards recognise those volunteers whose shows have made people take note of their talents.more
