We heart Midwives
As well as the affections of Valentines Day, February also plays hosts to the busiest month of the year for births and midwives.
To show the nation’s heartfelt thanks to the unsung heroes of the health service, the 12th Annual Midwife of the Year Awards launched its nominations on Saturday 14 February, the most romantic date in the month.
Mums and dads are given the opportunity to publicly praise and nominate their midwife before all nominations are judged by a panel of expert midwives, ready for the all emotional gala luncheon in October.
Nomination forms can be found through the participants of the ‘We Love Midwives’ campaign at ever Mamas and Papas store in the UK and Eire, and on the nursery brand’s website from February. You can also find the forms at selected independent nursery retailers around the UK, in issues of Prima Baby magazine from March onwards and in the latest version of Sense magazine available at all the Royal Bank of Scotland branches.
