Whittington takes on the London marathon

On Sunday 26 April in sunny, sweaty weather, alongside a proposal, a marriage and the usual costumes that make a hard challenge even harder, the most exciting thing of all was five of our Whittington runners completing the marathon.
All of our runners finished the race in good time, with Jack Kreindler finishing in 4.43 hours, Ioannis Ioannou finished in 5.06 hours, Nick Aresti and Daniel Bartlett finished in 6.03 hours, and Voi Shim Wong in 6.41 hours and persevered despite ankle injuries. All completed the 26.2 miles to raise money for our recently launched Care of Older People appeal.

The money raised is expected to reach £15,000 and we thank our runners for doing a wonderful job on Sunday.
