Full time smoking cessation at the Whittington
The Whittington hospital now has a full time smoking cessation specialist working from our respiratory department and is the first hospital in London to employ a designated stop-smoking advisor.
Julie Browne joined the Whittington at the start of May and will be providing support and advice for patients and staff on the best way to quit.
Julie is a trained councillor and worked for Lambeth PCT with pregnant women to help them stop smoking. Following this Julie joined Southwark PCT as a stop-smoking coordinator.
Julie will be working with the respiratory clinic, 3A, on Monday afternoons and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. To book an appointment phone 020 7288 5236.
