Falls Awareness Day
The Whittington Hospital will be holding a Falls Awareness Day event on 23 June, 2009. This year's event theme will be about falls on buses.
There will be stalls/ booths giving advice about falls prevention, walking aids assessment, keeping fit , Blood pressure checks, healthy eating and advice regarding medications in the elderly. The stalls will be located near the escalators in front of the undergraduate centre.
The event is a joint collaboration between physiotherapy, occupational therapy, the nutrition department ,the Dorothy Warren day hospital and pharmacy. This is in cooperation with the Help the Aged Organisation.
