New Chief Executive Appointed

Rob Larkman will take up his post as chief executive of the Whittington Hospital NHS Trust on 14 September, 2009.
 
Mr Larkman is the chief executive of Camden Primary Care Trust and prior to this was chief executive of Camden and Islington Community Health Services NHS Trust.   In addition to his 11 years as a chief executive Rob has a strong financial background and worked in advertising and management consultancy before joining the NHS in 1993. His successful track record in North Central London means that he brings strong local understanding and strong working relationships with him.

Chairman of the Whittington Joe Liddane said:   “I am delighted to have appointed Rob.  He brings key strengths to the leadership here at the Whittington which will ensure we are in a strong position in the future, building on our reputation as the hospital of choice for local people. Rob is a great NHS leader who is an excellent appointment to take us through to our next phase of development.’’

Rob Larkman is delighted to be appointed as chief executive of the Whittington.

“Having worked in the area for many years, I know that the Whittington is an excellent organisation with terrific staff and is held in high regard by the patients and local community it serves. I look forward to taking it to the next stage of its successful development” he said.
