Lions visit Ifor Ward

The Lion's club visiting Ifor wardThe Lions Club of London Hornsey, part of the International Association of Lions Clubs, visited the paediatric ward at the Whittington on Thursday 17 December to donate a television and Nintendo for the children.

President of the Hornsey Lions Club, Sylvia McLean, said on presenting the gifts that the Lions Club of Hornsey wanted be involved with a local project. She was accompanied by fellow Lions David Genus, Alfred Holder and Beverley Taylor

"The Lions have a passion for young people's development which has been the focus of our working with the Whittington's children's ward. We are keen to continue working with the hospital to improve the quality of life of children on our doorstep and bring fun, enjoyment and hope to many who need it. We raised this money from a dinner dance", she said.
