Japanese midwives visit The Whittington
Four Japanese midwives visited the Whittington labour ward and birth centre on Thursday 10 June. They all studied at The Midwifery College at Tokyo University together - many years ago. Now each of them is working in different fields of midwifery. They particularly enjoyed finding out about the midwifery education system here in the UK and how students in the UK were supported by the university and the Trust.The visiting midwives left a photo album showing a homebirth and a birth centre in Tokyo. The Whittington would like to thank them for visiting us.
