Our chapel is now in the Jenner building – the entrance is under the big clock

Full story

On Thursday 30 July we were delighted to welcome the Right Reverend Rod Green, Bishop of Stepney, to commission our new chapel.

He led a service where the old chapel was decommissioned, and the attendees processed with the Pascal Candle to the new chapel's location. The bishop then blessed the new chapel with holy water.

The chapel has moved to the entrance under the Jenner Building's clock, so should be easy to find for all those seeking religious comfort.

Tola Badejo, our Trust's Chaplain, said: “Every change generally comes with fear of the unknown. This move is not different. It’s like the experience of the Jews’ time in the Wilderness while going into the Promised Land. We are in transit and bearing the ‘Ark of God’ trusting that God is with us. May the New chapel be a place of solace, comfort, and refuge for everyone who comes in to use it.”
