Getting involved in research
The Trust is committed to engaging in research to ensure we can deliver the best possible healthcare to patients.
NHS services greatly benefit from being ‘Research Active’.
The research the Trust contributes to sets out to improve outcomes for patients in a variety of ways. Even those that don’t take part in research have better outcomes if they are seen in Research Active Trusts.
Research activity is proven to create a happier workforce as it allows for staff to develop in their fields and work alongside collages and external organisations to develop evidence-based care.

It is important that patients are provided with as much information as possible to ensure they feel comfortable and confident taking part in research. The next page provides further information about how national organisations and the Trust uphold safety and data protection in research.
If you have any other questions or queries regarding taking part in research, please don’t hesitate to contact us via email whh-tr.researchsupport@nhs.net
