As I’ve always said, “happy staff, happy patients”, they’ve helped with my overall wellbeing, just knowing there are adjustments to assist me with in my work is a benefit; it is a sort of domino effect, that ultimately benefits everyone.

I have several health conditions that have resulted in having surgery and ongoing treatment. My main issues are with my back and wrists, I suffer from inflammation and spasms which causes me a great deal of pain, which is why I needed adjustments to help me carry out my role.
I’ve had an ergonomic keyboard and wireless mouse, which my manager sourced from IT. The centralised reasonable adjustments fund paid for a new monitor for me.

The adjustments so far have certainly helped me to be more efficient in my role, it’s helped to reduce the strain and pressure on my back and wrists.

I have a dual screen setup that has been helpful. I previously had to cross check information/data with paperwork and one screen. Now it’s so much easier to navigate between dual screens.

The adjustments have helped to create a more level playing field by enabling me to carry out my role by helping to reducing the pain and discomfort I would previously have experienced. This enables me to contribute to the service to the best of my ability. As I’ve always said, “happy staff, happy patients”, they’ve helped with my overall wellbeing, just knowing there are adjustments to assist me with in my work is a benefit; it is a sort of domino effect, that ultimately benefits everyone.
