The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team currently sits within our Workforce Directorate. The Team focuses on improving staff equity and experience throughout the Trust by delivering a range of initiatives, raising awareness and engaging with staff.

Tina Jegede MBE - Joint Director for Inclusion (Job Share)

Tina has worked in healthcare since 1989 and trained initially as a nurse and then as a midwife. She is also the Nurse Lead for Quality and Assurance for the Islington care homes, a post jointly funded by Islington Council and Whittington Health.
 
Tina is a Queen's Nurse with a master's in Health Education and Promotion. She has extensive knowledge and experience in race inequalities and organisational culture change. She provides strategic direction in this area and promotes staff and service user engagement to inform sustainable, high quality and equitable care. She is the Trust's Workplace Race & Equality Standard (WRES) expert.

Swarnjit Singh - Joint Director for Inclusion (Job Share)

Swarnjit is also the Trust's Corporate Secretary and has extensive experience working with boards in the civil service and NHS. He was the diversity and inclusion lead at Guy's at St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust before leading inclusion work at the London Strategic Health Authority and then national NHS Equality Delivery System Manager.
 
Swarnjit has been in post as Joint Director for Inclusion since September 2021 and provides strategic direction of the Inclusion agenda.
Simon Anjoyeb - EDI Lead

Simon Anjoyeb - EDI Lead

Simon joined the Trust in April 2022 and has worked in the inclusion field for over 15 years. He supports the operational aspects of the delivery of EDI within the Trust, he does this through his policy work, training, and providing support and guidance to staff.
 
He was the Deputy Health of Inclusion at University Hospitals Sussex, where he was the lead on disability issues and inclusion service improvement projects.

Margot Innocent - Equality Diversity and Inclusion Administrator / Engagement

Margot helps promote and raise awareness of EDI by running events and working closely with the Trust's staff networks.
