Islington Paediatric Primary Care Service

Information for parents, guardians and young people

Who are we?

• We are a team of specialist paediatric nurses, who work with children and young people with chronic illnesses, such as wheeze, asthma and eczema.

The conditions we support

• Asthma (from 5 years old)
• Eczema from mild to moderate in severity (from 3 months old)
• Viral Induced Wheeze (from 18 months old).

• Team Leader (Registered Nurse)
• 2 Registered Nurses
• 1 Administrator

Our vision

• To empower children, young people, and their families, and help them learn how to take care of long-term conditions within the community (while living at home).
• To reduce emergency hospital visits and help people get care closer to home.

How to access our service

• If you wish for your child to be referred to our service, please discuss it with your GP, Health Visitor or School Nurse.
