Train strikes - Please allow more time to get to appointments

27 Mar 2024

April and May will see National Rail strikes that may affect your journey to one of our services.

Full story

TFL and National Rail have announced that, due to industrial action, there will be extremely limited services running on certain dates on National Rail services in early April and early May.

Reduced services

If the planned strike on goes ahead, the following services will be affected:

  • Friday 5 April - Affecting Avanti West Coast, CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, London Northwestern Railway and West Midlands Railway
  • Saturday 6 April - Affecting Chiltern Railways, Great Western Railway, LNER, Northern and TransPennine Express
  • Monday 8 April - Affecting c2c, Gatwick Express, Greater Anglia (including Stansted Express), Great Northern, Southeastern, Southern, South Western Railway (including Island Line) and Thameslink.
Please note the dates above, remembering that travel disruption is possible the day after each strike due to the knock-on impact from reduced staffing and services.

Plan your journey here.

If you have a face-to-face appointment, please allow more time for your journey to make sure that you arrive on time. Telephone and video appointments should not be affected.

If you are unable to attend your face-to-face appointment, please contact us to reschedule. You can contact us using the details on your appointment letter or alternatively you can call us on 020 7288 5511.

Whittington Health staff will be working hard to minimise any impact on services on days affected by the strikes. Knowing in advance if you can no longer attend your appointment will help us to ensure that services continue to run as smoothly as possible.
