Selina Douglas officially joined Whittington Health NHS Trust from today (2 June 2025) as our new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
She joins us from Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust, but she is no stranger to North London having previously worked in the area for nearly a decade. She held the role of Executive Director of Partnerships for North East London Foundation Trust. Prior to that she was Managing Director for Tower Hamlets, Newham, and Waltham Forest Clinical Commissioning Group’s (the bodies which preceded integrated care boards).
 
During today she will be getting out and about to meet colleagues from various teams around the Trust, including visiting the emergency department and same day emergency care teams as well as paying a visit to Hornsey Rise Health Centre to meet with colleagues in the district nursing and virtual ward services.
 
She will also be getting out to visit lots more teams across our services this weeks and in the months to come, she said: "I am delighted to be joining Whittington Health at such an exciting time for integrated care. I am particularly looking forward to meeting staff and hearing what its like to deliver care to the populations we serve."
 
Dr Clare Dollery returns to to her role as Chief Medical Officer from today having taken on the role ask acting CEO and we thank her for her hard work and dedication as our acting CEO over the past months.
