Biography

Dr Andrew Robins trained at the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, qualifying in 1986. He trained in acute, neonatal and community paediatrics in London at St Mary’s, Guy’s, Royal Free and UCLH, as well as Whipps Cross and North Middlesex hospitals.

He was appointed to The Whittington Hospital in 1995, specifically tasked to develop ambulatory services for children. He has served many additional roles, most recently clinical director until 2013.

His interests are general paediatrics and caring for children and families affected by haemoglobinopathy (sickle cell anaemia and thalassaemia) and helping to teach and train paediatricians.
