Dr Ben Esdaile

Dr Esdaile graduated from King's College London with a first class honours degree in Biochemistry in 1998 prior to studying Medicine at Imperial College London. He graduated in 2003 with a distinction in both Medicine and Surgery. Dr Esdaile undertook his specialist dermatological training in Oxford and developed a particular interest in skin cancer diagnosis and surgery. After completing his specialist training he worked as a locum Consultant Dermatologist at the Churchill Hospital in Oxford.

 

He received an award for Clinical Excellence at the Annual Staff Recognition Awards for the Oxford University Hospitals in December 2013. In 2014 he was appointed as a Consultant Dermatologist at Whittington Health in North London. Dr Esdaile has a particular interest in the early diagnosis of skin cancer and lectures nationally on dermoscopy (a non-invasive method for diagnosing skin cancers). He is also involved in both the undergraduate teaching of medical students from UCL and in postgraduate teaching at The Whittington Hospital.
