More information about the Wood Green CDC

What services does the CDC offer?

The CDC offers blood tests, x-ray, ultrasound and an ophthalmology (eye) clinic.

Who runs the CDC?

Whittington Health NHS Trust run the Wood Green CDC, with our staff behind the front desks and providing the clinical services. The ophthalmology (eye) clinic is run by colleagues from the Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust.

Who can have an appointment at the CDC?

GPs will refer people who need an appointment at the CDC. The CDC is only for adults at the moment. Residents of Haringey, Islington, Enfield, Barnet and Camden are all welcome to use the CDC. If you live further away, you can still choose to use the CDC if it is convenient for you — your GP can use our referral form.

How can I get an appointment ?

For blood tests, your GP will refer you to the CDC. You can book your appointment online via swiftQueue here or if for you cannot book online, via telephone: 020 7288 5626.

For ultrasounds, your GP will refer you to the CDC and we will send you an appointment. If you need to change the date of the appointment, please call us or email.

For X-rays, your GP will give you a referral form. You can walk-in at any time between 9am - 6:30pm Monday to Friday, and 9am - 4:30pm on Saturdays.

For the ophthalmology (eye) clinic, we will send you an appointment. Call 0203 074 2671.

You can call 020 7288 5626 or email woodgreencdc.whitthealth@nhs.net

Can I walk-in?

We only see people who have been referred by their GP for a test, please speak to your GP if you think you need one.

How will I get my results?

Your results will be sent back to your GP or hospital doctor who referred you.

Why is it in a shopping centre?

We want to make it easier for people to attend their healthcare appointments. Previously Haringey residents had to travel further for diagnostic tests than other residents in Barnet, Camden, Enfield and Islington . Wood green is in  the middle of the borough and the is easy to get to for most people.

Accessing the CDC

Our facility does not have an access ramp for bedbound patients or those needing transport via trolley or stretcher. Hence, we are unable to accept patients requiring NHS Transport services.

We can accommodate patients who can move in and out of a wheelchair independently or with minimal assistance. Should you require assistance or equipment to help you mobilise e.g hoist, it is available at the CDC but we kindly ask that you bring your own sling with you if possible.
