About us

We are involved in providing effective, evidence based nutritional assessment, dietary advice and support to patients, their carer’s and staff involved in their care. The aim of our service is the prevention and/or correction of nutrition related conditions.

 

We are the NHS provider of Adult Community Nutrition and Dietetic services in Haringey and Islington offering a comprehensive range of community services to the local population. We support people in a clinical setting or their home.

 

Our Team has clinicians experienced in assessment, treatment and management of a wide range of nutritional conditions. We assess dietary intake and provide nutrition advice to help people understand the impact of diet on their health and well-being, helping local people live longer, healthier lives. We also deliver individual and group services, providing therapeutic diets to educate and promote lifestyle changes.

 

We manage a range of conditions including obesity, diabetes and nutrition support, and provide key public health messages and advice to the wider community.

 

As a service, we actively participate in continuing professional development. This includes regular in service training, course attendance and feedback, journal club, clinical study groups with the acute team, where we review current research to determine best practice and improve services to all our users.
