On Tuesday14th May we were visited by The Right Reverend and Right Honourable Bishop of London.
Former Chief Nursing Officer for England and now The Right Reverend and Right Honourable Bishop of London, Dame Sarah Mullally visited our hospital site on the morning of Tuesday 14th May.
She joined morning prayer in the Chapel before meeting staff and patients from the Maternity and Womenís health team and the Trustís Executives before an opportunity for the wider trust community to meet with her. She was here to find out about the important work which our team of chaplains do across the trust, supported by a number of our volunteers.
The Right Reverend Sarah Mullally was named as the first female Bishop of London, becoming the most senior woman bishop appointed by the Church of England. She became a priest in 2006, having previously spent over 35 years in the NHS, including being chief nursing officer for England from 1999 to 2004.
