Train strikes - Please allow more time to get to appointments
26 Feb 2024
March will see two days of London Overground strikes that may affect your journey to one of our services.
Full story
TFL have announced that due to industrial action, there will be extremely limited services running on certain dates on the London Overground on March 4 and March 5.
Reduced services
If the planned strike on Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 March goes ahead, no service is expected to run on these routes before 8.00 am and after 6.00pm both days. Services that do run will be busier than usual.
- Gospel Oak - Barking Riverside
- Stratford - Richmond/Clapham Junction
- Highbury & Islington - Clapham Junction/West Croydon/Crystal Palace/New Cross
Station closures and staffing
These stations will be closed during the strike. London Overground services will not stop at them.
- Haggerston
- Hoxton
- Rotherhithe
- Shadwell
- Shoreditch High Street
- Wapping
Additional stations may be closed at short notice. Some other stations will be open, but unstaffed.
Please note the dates above, remembering that travel disruption is possible the day after each strike due to the knock-on impact from reduced staffing and services.
Plan your journey here.
If you have a face-to-face appointment, please allow more time for your journey to make sure that you arrive on time. Telephone and video appointments should not be affected.
If you are unable to attend your face-to-face appointment, please contact us to reschedule. You can contact us using the details on your appointment letter or alternatively you can call us on 020 7288 5511.
Whittington Health staff will be working hard to minimise any impact on services on days affected by the strikes. Knowing in advance if you can no longer attend your appointment will help us to ensure that services continue to run as smoothly as possible.
