Mr Chetan Bhan
Biography
Mr Bhan attended medical school in London at the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s and St Thomas’ qualifying in 1998 . His surgical training was in London and the South East and spent 2 years undertaking research into lower gastrointestinal functional disorders, particularly pelvic floor disorders, at the The Royal London Hospital as well as advanced colorectal training into complex colorectal surgery, including perineal reconstruction, complex inflammatory bowel disease and intestinal failure.
Mr Bhan completed his training in Sydney, Australia where he undertook a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic techniques in colorectal surgery particularly Single Incision laparoscopic Surgery ( SILS). Since starting at the Whittington Hospital Mr Bhan has developed the SILS colorectal service and is lead for IBD surgery and benign colorectal disorders.
Mr Bhan is also Training Programme Director for surgical training in North Central and East London as well as Essex.
