General surgery is the surgical specialty that focuses on the abdominal organs. Surgeons that practice general surgery are highly skilled surgeons that typically operate on common abdominal conditions including appendicitis, hernias, gallbladder surgeries, stomach and intestinal issues. Our general surgery department includes emergency provision, outpatient clinics, daycase and inpatient theatre. We hold 12 outpatient general surgery clinics per week in clinic 4A, with occasional clinics in 3B, Diagnostic Block. Your appointment letter will tell which clinic you need to go to.
