Quiet Room

If you and your healthcare team decide you will benefit from chemotherapy treatment then an appointment will be made for you to attend the chemo day unit for a pre chemo chat. This is designated time with your chemotherapy nurse to go through what to expect during chemotherapy and how we will aim to minimise and manage any side effects. We undertake this assessment in our chemotherapy quiet room to allow protected 1-2-1 time with your nurse.

 

Thanks to Macmillan sponsorship we were able to transform this room to allow for a quiet, relaxing space away from the clinical area. We also hold our psychological support clinics in this room. Additionally our Breast nurse specialists use this quiet private space to fit patients with their breast prosthesis after surgery.

 

It is a room that both healthcare professionals and patients value.
