Range of services

Outpatients

To get an appointment for one of the outpatient clinics you must be referred either by your GP or by another hospital doctor. All clinics are held in 3A or 3B, on the first floor of the outpatient building. The following outpatient services are provided:
  • General cardiology
  • Rapid access chest pain clinic
  • Rapid access heart function clinic
  • Lipid and risk factor
  • Heart function
  • Anticoagulant clinics
  • Stroke prevention services
At each appointment we will need to confirm your name, address, date of birth and GP to ensure our records are up to date. You will usually be weighed and you may be asked for a urine sample. An increasing proportion of our appointments are made through Choose and Book and initiated at the time of the consultation with the GP.

Inpatients

The inpatient cardiovascular service is based in Montuschi ward, which has 6 beds, equipped with high specification patient monitors linked to a central station. The service treats patients admitted with heart attacks, unstable angina, heart failure and heart rhythm disturbances and also following heart surgery. We also have close links with  St Bartholomew's Hospital in London where patients are referred for angiography, angioplasty and heart surgery.

Community sited services

Our community sited services are delivered and supported in GP Practices, Community Pharmacies and in Health Centres in North Central London.
