Help for carers
People experiencing dementia can require significant amounts of care and support from family and friends.
When you're caring for someone experiencing dementia it can be easy to ignore your own needs. A range of services and organisations are available to support people with dementia and their carers. The following websites offer information on how best to look after yourself and the person you are caring for:
Carers: Looking after yourself (Alzheimer's Society)
Carers and dementia (Carers Trust)
Caring for a person with dementia (Alzheimer's Society)
If you are caring for someone with Down's syndrome and dementia you can visit the Down's Syndrome Association website for more information.
