Our Supporters
Action for Stammering Children (ASC), is a UK charity that aims for a society where children and young people who stammer have the same opportunities and quality of life as their peers. Their goal is to ensure that every child and young person across the UK who stammers has access to effective services and support to help them meet the challenges they face.
Based in The Michael Palin Centre for Stammering Children (MPC), the Charity is a strong supporter and key partner, funding specialist assessments and therapies for children and young people who stammer, the training of speech and language therapists across the UK, specialist research and the information helpline which is managed by MPC staff.
In 2016/17 the Charity helped more than 4,000 children and young people who stammer through a range of initiatives and projects. These include the ASC Youth Panel, a collection of 15 young people from across the UK who stammer, who help shape the Charity’s projects by giving young people a representative voice in society.

The Stuttering Foundation is an American based not-for-profit charity dedicated to helping those who stutter.
The Foundation was established by the late auto parts magnate Malcolm Fraser in 1947 and their goal is to provide simple, effective and accurate materials, up-to-date training and hope to those who stutter, their families, and the dedicated therapists who help them.
The Michael Palin Centre works closely with The Stuttering Foundation and is committed to continuing this relationship with the shared goal of helping children and adults who stutter.
