Location and Access

Women experiencing symptoms in pregnancy or up to 6 weeks postpartum should contact their midwife to seek referral to Pelvic Health Physiotherapy. Women with risk factors are screened from the postnatal ward and offered outpatient care where rehabilitation needs are identified. Women and men may be referred to the service for treatment by their Urogynaecology, Urology or Colorectal consultant.

 

Men or women more than 6 postnatal can seek a GP referral or self refer to the MSK PT for musculoskeletal problems such as back pain or the Haringey and Islington Bladder and Bowel service for bladder, bowel or prolapse symptoms.
