Priority One Team
What does the Priority one Team do
The team provides rapid (within 1 week of referral) assessments and, when appropriate, treatment of all children and young people at risk of serious self-harm, psychotic illness or who present a serious risk of violence to others. The team also provides consultations to other teams within CAMHS.
The Priority 1 team (P1) is composed of the following clinicians who meet weekly:
- Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist from Community CAMHS (Chair)
- AOT Psychiatrist (monthly)
- Psychiatric CT2/3 Doctor
- CAMHS Outreach Workers (2 nurses and a generic mental health worker)
- Systemic Psychotherapist
