Online Resources
You can find evidence on a topic of your choice and access full text articles by searching NHS Knowledge and Library Hub. This is an easy to use, effective discovery tool that searches all the resources made available to you by Health Education England and your NHS Trust. This tool is recommended for simple and quick searches. To access it, please log in with your NHS OpenAthens account. For complex topics or for a more comprehensive search you should perform an in-depth search using bibliographic databases available from the providers' websites: Ovid, EBSCO and ProQuest. For a list of databases and their content coverage click here
You can access these databases from the NHS Knowledge and Library Hub. There are links to them on the homepage, beneath the search box. Remember to log in to your NHS OpenAthens Account. You can register here https://openathens.nice.org.uk/ for an OpenAthens account.
BMJ OnExamination
Whittington Health Library has a limited number of codes for BMJ's revision resource, OnExamination. This online tool gives provides question banks to help you prepare for exams, and it can also be downloaded as an app for learning offline. Our codes will grant access for 2 months from the date of activation, but they must be activated before 23 October 2024.

Springer Nature eJournals
For a limited time, all Whittington Health staff can access the online content published by Springer Nature in a wide range of titles including Intensive Care Medicine, Nature Cancer, Nature Reviews Methods Primers, Osteoporosis International, Journal of General Internal Medicine, Protein and Cell, Diabetologia, Behavior Research Methods, American Journal of Clinical Dermatology, and thousands more!
Staff can browse the entire Springer Nature ejournal collection online or search for topics of interest, limiting your search to articles.
When you see an article that you want to read in-full or download, just click on 'log-in via an institution', type 'Whittington', and select 'NHS in England (Whittington Health)' when that option appears. Then enter your NHS OpenAthens username and password to login.

MAHComplete eJournals
Whittington Health staff can also access ejournals from the MAH Complete collection. These include the British Journal of Healthcare Assistants, British Journal of Cardiac Nursing, British Journal of community Nursing, and the British Journal of Nursing.
SPSS Statistics software, version 28
We have SPSS Statistics software (version 28) on one of our PCs. This is available for all Whittington Health staff to use for their research projects. Please contact us on whl@nhs.net if you would like to book this PC (please note library staff are unable to support users with this software).
