Noclor Programme Nursing and AHP Research Portal
Welcome to the web portal for nursing and AHP research

Working with one of our region’s local research offices Noclor, we are proud to present this web portal highlighting research resources and services for nursing and allied health professionals working at Whittington Health, North Central London ICB and Primary Care, and Noclor's partner organisations.
What's a Noclor? They provide research support to NHS trusts in the North Central London area and throughout the capital, including Central London Community Healthcare (CLCH), Central & North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL), East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT), Kingston
and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust, North London NHS Foundation Trust (NLFT), Tavistock & Portman NHS Foundation Trust, and West London NHS Trust. Google 'Noclor', or go to the Noclor website; or search for "research" on your staff intranet for more info.
If you’re a midwife, nurse or AHP working for Whittington Health, this service is provided by the internal Research Support Team. Whittington Health staff can access Research Support Team information on the Trust website and Intranet.

Click on 'Services' below to learn how the Whittington Health Library team - or your local NHS Library team - can help your research interests with current awareness, evidence searching and document supply.
Click on 'Training' to book on to online sessions where you can gain the skills and knowledge to get started in research. You can also book your place at our hybrid in-person/online Noclor Journal Club meetings!
Click on 'Resources' to access online databases, ebooks and ejournals, and other tools to help your research.
Allied Health Professionals include advanced clinical practitioners, arts therapists, audiologists, dieticians/nutritionists, occupational therapists, orthoptists/optometrists, physiotherapists, podiatrists/chiropodists, radiographers, speech and language therapists, and more!
If I can do it, anyone can! My career journey and what I have learnt.
Watch Christine Adamson share the inspiring story of how she battled with self-doubt, imposter syndrome and life's many competing priorities to become the Lead Research Nurse/Midwife at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, NIHR RRDN North London Health and Care Director, and NIHR Senior Research Leader.
Thanks to Christine for letting us share this candid and heart-felt presentation, which relaunched Whittington Health's NMAHP Research Network in fine style in July 2025!
Watch this space for more interviews and talks in the coming months.
