Welcome to the web portal for nursing and AHP research

Working with one of our region’s local research offices Noclor, we are proud to present this web portal highlighting research resources and services for Nursing and Allied Health Professionals working at Whittington Health; West and North London ICB staff and Primary Care/GP staff based in our area; and all of Noclor's partner organisations.

What's a Noclor? They provide research support to NHS Trusts in the West and North London area, and throughout light-shaded areas in the diagram of the capital below. These include:

The links above will give you the details of your local library service, who can also help you with research queries and much more. Visit the Noclor website; or search for "research" on your staff intranet for more info on Noclor specifically.

If you’re a Midwife, Nurse or AHP working for Whittington Health, research support is provided by the excellent internal Research Support Team. Whittington Health staff can access Research Support Team information on the Trust website and intranet.

If I can do it, anyone can! My career journey and what I have learnt.

Watch Christine Adamson share the inspiring story of how she battled with self-doubt, imposter syndrome and life's many competing priorities to become the Lead Research Nurse/Midwife at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, NIHR RRDN North London Health and Care Director, and NIHR Senior Research Leader.
Thanks to Christine for letting us share this candid and heart-felt presentation, which relaunched Whittington Health's NMAHP Research Network in fine style in July 2025!
Watch this space for more interviews and talks in the coming months.
