Books/eBooks on our shared online library catalogue Koha:

You can find and reserve print books, and access ebooks, using the London Health Libraries online catalogue, Koha. This is shared by St Ann’s Hospital Library, Whittington Health Library, and the libraries of 15 other NHS Trusts from across London, giving you access to their collections. For ebooks, you will need your NHS OpenAthens username and password to access their content. To borrow print books you will need to join St Ann’s Hospital Library (for NLFT staff) or Whittington Health Library (for Whittington Health, NCL primary care staff).

EMCARE (Ovid) 1995 to Present
EMCARE covers all nursing specialties and nursing healthcare professions. Includes international coverage of allied health, education and training, development and management, midwifery, health and healthcare economics, clinical medical and healthcare social work, psychiatry and mental health, and traumatology, emergency and critical-care medicine.

These are a great way of starting to research a condition, as they are very well referenced and up to date.

SPSS Statistics software

We have the latest version of SPSS Statistics software on one of our PCs. This is available for all Whittington staff to use for their research projects. Please contact us on whl@nhs.net if you would like to book this PC. Free online training from IBM is available to Whittington staff who want to learn to use this resource.
