In-growing toe nails
An ingrowing toenail is where a piece of nail pierces the flesh of the toe. Sometimes when the nail grows very close to the skin it can feel like it has ‘grown in’ before the nail breaks the skin. There can be many different causes and multiple treatment choices, including education to prevent it from occurring, episodes of conservative care or a minor operation to remove the problem nail.
